Microplastic Free Future is an essential platform dedicated to raising awareness about the widespread issue of microplastics; which are tiny particles present everywhere—from remote mountains to the air we breathe and the water we drink. This platform is critical for educating the public on the sources and severe impacts of microplastics; and the urgent need to adopt non-plastic alternatives to mitigate their environmental footprint.Microplastics come from various sources; including car tires; synthetic textiles like polyester; and larger plastic items that break down over time. Research from leading universities has revealed the disturbing prevalence of these particles in the environment; including findings of up to 240;000 micro-nano plastic particles per liter in bottled water; with a significant number being even smaller nanoplastics.
